Disney Port Orleans Resort French Quarter

If you want to stay on Disney World property, and want something a little nicer than a value resort, consider staying at one of the Disney’s Port Orleans Resort’s. There is the French Quarter and Riverside.

Here are some great reasons to stay at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter:

  • The resort is themed to New Orlean’s historic French Quarter.
  • It’s closest to Disney Springs, and then Epcot, so it’ll take you less time to get there than other places on property.
  • Doubloon Lagoon is the name of the pool area here, and there is a slide as well. There is also a kiddie pool, a whirlpool spa and a pool bar.
  • You can book horse drawn carriage rides at the resort.
  • The French Quarter is a lot smaller than Riverside, and is closer to the parking lot.
  • Since you’re on Disney property, you get all of the great benefits, such as the bus system, Magical Express, and extra hours at the parks.
  • All of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort shares one bus, but there are multiple stops since the property is so big (only 1 stop is at the French Quarter).
  • The French Quarter only has a food court, while Riverside has more options.
  • You can take a boat to get to Disney Springs, Disney’s Old Key West Resort, and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa from the hotel.
  • You get fun benefits such as Movies under the Stars, awesome themed pools, great food court, shop, arcade, a place to do laundry, playground, bike rentals, fishing, and more.
