Top Reasons for Staying At the All-Star Sports Resort (Disney World Tips – 279 of 365)

Disney All Star Sports

If someone in your group loves sports, or if you’re visiting Disney World with a big group for a specific reason, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort might be the best value resort for you.

Here are some great reasons to stay at the All Star Sports Resort:

  • If you love sports, you’ll love the theme. You can stay in areas such as baseball, basketball, football, surfing, and tennis.
  • While the All-Star Resorts are usually about the same price, when they are different, it seems that the All-Star Sports is usually the least expensive. Make sure you check for yourself though!
  • If you’re staying with a large group, this is usually the hotel you’ll end up at, as this is where the groups go. It’s a great way to make sure you’re near others who are there for the same reason and you can find each other easier!
  • It’s closest to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and then Disney’s Hollywood Studios, so it’ll take you less time to get there than other places on property.
  • The pools are themed as well. The Grand Slam Pool is shaped like a baseball diamond, and has a Goofy fountain that squirts water at swimmers. There is also a pool with giant sized surfboards lining it, as well as a kiddie pool.
  • Since you’re on Disney property, you get all of the great benefits, such as the bus system, Magical Express, and extra hours at the parks.
  • It shares a bus with the other 2 All-Star Resorts. While you may think of this as a bad thing, it can be a good thing. Since there are 3 resorts that the busses make stops at, the busses usually run more frequently to these resorts. That means less waiting out in the sun for a bus during the day, and at night at the parks you’ll notice more busses coming to the All-Star Resorts line than other hotels.
  • You still get all of the benefits of other hotels – Movies under the Stars, awesome themed pools, great food court, shop, arcade, a place to do laundry, playground and more.
