When to See Special Fireworks at the Magic Kingdom (Disney World Tips – 79 of 365)
Almost every night, you can watch “Wishes” at the Magic Kingdom. It’s an incredible fireworks display, coordinated with Disney music, and brings a tear to the eyes of many people who watch it.
It’s amazing, and I make sure I see it at least twice (if not more) each time I’m on vacation at Disney World.
But once in a while, you can catch a special fireworks display. This is totally different from Wishes, and is done in place of it. It’s done usually for a special occasion…and everything about them is different – the fireworks as well as the music to go along with it.
While some of these require a special ticket to get in and watch them in the Magic Kingdom, not all of them do. And even for those that do, you can still watch the fireworks from other places not in the Magic Kingdom for free!
Here are some of the times you’ll get to see special fireworks:
- July 4th
- During Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party – Instead of Wishes, you get to see HalloWishes
- During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party – They have a special fireworks display
- Between when the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ends and New Years Eve
- Other reasons, such as Frozen Summer Fun Live! through September 7th, 2015 with Frozen Fireworks set to the music of Frozen.
So if you’re looking to see some different fireworks, check out the above times!
