Miss Your FastPass+ Window? Maybe Not… (Disney World Tips 69 of 365)

Disney Magic Band

When you reserve a Fastpass, you usually get a 1-hour window.

I say usually, because for shows you don’t really have that window, since the show starts at a certain time and for many of them, you can’t get in after the show starts.

But for regular rides, you have a 1-hour window.

What happens if your Fastpass+ is for 1:05pm – 2:05pm and you show up at 2:07pm because the walk took longer than you thought?

Most of the time that isn’t a problem.

Usually, even though your Fastpass+ is a 1-hour window, you can get in up to 5 minutes early, and up to 15 minutes late.

This isn’t always a guarantee, but the cast members understand that sometimes you can’t get to the ride quite on time, and will give you a little leeway.

Now I wouldn’t start planning my day as if I had the extra time, but it is really nice to know that even if I show up a few minutes late, I’ll most likely still be able to get on the ride.

So if you get to your ride a few minutes after your Fastpass+ expires, don’t automatically walk away thinking you’re out of luck. Check it out, and maybe you’ll still get to go on the ride after all.
