If There are Long Lines, Consider Using the Single Rider Line or Rider Switch (Disney World Tips – 9 of 365)
If you’re at Disney World, and you’ve already got your 3 Fastpass+ rides set up, you may be wondering how to stand in line less, and go on more rides.
Here are 2 ways you can do this.
The first is the single rider line.
At the time of this post, there are 3 rides with a single rider line. Expedition Everest, Test Track, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster.
At these rides, you can go into the single rider line, and you’ll be placed as there is room. Now, if you REALLY want to sit next to the person or people you’re traveling with, you’re not going to want to be in this line, as you will be split up.
But if you don’t mind being split up for a ride so that you can go on it MUCH faster…then this is the way to go.
Here’s a second way to speed things up, if you’re traveling with small children. You can use the Rider Switch Option.
This isn’t available at every ride, but is at quite a few of them. Here is the list of rides that you can use the rider switch on.
How does it work?
Your whole party goes through the line the first time. When you get to the front, you let them know that you’d like to “child swap” since you have a child that is too young to ride. They’ll show you an area where you can wait while the rest of your group goes on the ride. When they finish the ride, you’ll give the child or children to them, and you’ll get to go on the ride without having to wait in line a second time.
While these aren’t as good as Fastpass+, since those are limited, these will help you stand in line less, and enjoy the rides more.
