Free Disney Dining Select Dates from September 29th 2013 – December 22nd 2013

Free Disney Dining 2013

I love to travel. I guess that’s probably obvious, as I wouldn’t be writing any of these posts otherwise.

I love traveling to new destinations, seeing things I haven’t seen before, having new experiences, etc.

But…I must say, that one vacation I keep taking over and over again is to Walt Disney World, and ALWAYS during free dining (well, at least since 2005, when they started offering free dining.) In fact, I have a trip coming up before the end of the year to take advantage of free dining once again!

You know how some people love going to the beach, and they go over and over again…and it’s their relaxing vacation?

This is what going to Walt Disney World during free dining is for me. It’s the most stress free and relaxing vacation, and it’s always fun with new things to do. (Well, I go every other year. If I went more often than that, I think it would be too much for me.)

Before I say anything else, let me give you the details:

  • Book by September 15th, 2013
  • Select travel dates September 29th – December 22nd 2013
  • Receive the free Disney Quick Service Dining Plan on Value Resorts (you can upgrade to the regular plan if you’d like for a nominal charge.)
  • Receive free free Disney Dining Plan on moderate, deluxe resorts, or deluxe villa resorts (you can upgrade to the deluxe Disney dining plan if you want for a nominal charge.)

Since it has changed over the years, here is what you get with each of the free plans:

Free Disney Quick Service Plan: 2 quick service meals + 1 snack per night + 1 refillable drink mug
Free Disney Dining Plan: 1 table service meal + 1 quick service meal + 1 snack per night + 1 refillable drink mug

I have only used the regular Disney Dining Plan. I always stay at the value resorts, so the past few times I’ve had to pay to upgrade to the regular dining plan, but I’m ok with that. It didn’t cost too much extra, and the plan works well for us.

The regular dining plan is great, and is a LOT of food.

I’m not a big breakfast person, so I usually bring something to eat in the room before going out in the morning. Other people might prefer to bring some cereal and get milk once they arrive, or even go out to breakfast.

I usually do a quick service meal for lunch, and then make reservations months ahead of time for the table service meal.

This will be my first time getting the refillable drink mug, and I’m excited about that!

I can tell you that for me, this is a LOT of food. With both the quick service meal and table service meal, you get dessert along with your meal…so that plus the snack each day should make sure you’re never hungry.

A lot of the times between now and the end of the year are very slow for Disney too, so if you go at the right time, it won’t be crowded.

Note: In order to be eligible for free dining, you must stay on Disney property, and buy at least a 1-day park ticket.

If you haven’t been to Walt Disney World in a while, or you have but haven’t stayed on property…let me tell you something that helps make the trip stress free.

You don’t need to worry about transportation at all.  You can use Disney’s Magical Express to take you to and from the airport (it’s completely free, and they’ll even get your luggage for you and bring it to your room!) as well as use their transportation to get back and forth from the hotel to the parks, or to anywhere else on property you want to go.

So you don’t have to rent a car…or worry about parking, or any of that.  You can use buses, monorails, boats, etc.. to get around.

I’m biased, since I’ve done this quite a few times before, but personally I think it’s the best deal that Disney has, and I love visiting during free dining.
