Want a Less Crowded Disney World? Do the Opposite of Everyone Else (Disney World Tips – 336 of 365)
This is going to sound like a silly tip, but it really works.
If you want a “less crowded” Disney World, you should do the opposite that everyone else is doing.
Even if you go during a slow time of year, there will be many other people in whatever park you choose to go to. So even if the lines aren’t that bad compared to another time of year, you’ll still be waiting in line once in a while.
So what does “do the opposite of everyone else” mean?
It means try to avoid the crowds.
Say a parade is going on at the park. That’s a great time to go on some rides since there will be a lot of people watching the parade. You’ll even get bonus time since people start lining up for parades quite a while before they actually start!
This works for other events too, like fireworks, Fantasmic, etc. If people are busy watching those, you can avoid a LOT of people by spending that time on rides, or eating dinner.
Another way to avoid crowds? Try to eat your meals at an off time – either before or after everyone else.
This way not only will it be less crowded for you when you try to go eat, but while they’re all eating, you will have less crowded rides!
Want another way that this can work in your favor? When you come out of a big show – say The Lion King or something else with a ton of people…take not where everyone is going.
If they’re all going one way, and you can go a different way (that still has attractions or something you’re interested in), go that way instead! If you follow all of these other people, you’ll be stuck behind them in whatever ride they’re going to. But if you go another way, it’ll be a lot less crowded.
While a lot of people get to the park before it opens, there are a whole lot more that come afterwards…so getting to a park before it opens is a great way to do the opposite of what everyone else is doing.
Just try to think what a lot of people are trying to do at a certain time, and do something else!
