Tips for Visiting Disney World in September (Disney World Tips – 318 of 365)
If you’re looking to visit Disney World in September, here are some things to take note of:
- While it’s still hot and humid, it’s a little bit nicer than July and August.
- There are often afternoon thunderstorms, so be prepared with ponchos. The good part is when it does rain, often people leave the parks even though the rain usually only lasts for a short time.
- The kids have all finally gone back to school! This is a great time to visit as the crowds are very low.
- Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party starts up this month. So the Magic Kingdom will likely be more crowded those days, plus note that the park will close earlier on those days.
- At the end of the month, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will open, and be open until the middle of November, so on weekends Epcot will be more crowded. This also means that besides food and wine, there will be the “Eat to the Beat” concert series with many famous groups.
- Since it’s not as crowded, the parks will close a little bit earlier.
- Now that peak season is over, some rides will go into refurbishment. Make sure your favorite rides are open before you book your trip!
- This is one of our favorite months to visit Disney World, as you can often just walk right onto rides or wait just a very short time. It’s still shorts weather, but most of the time it isn’t too hot. Add the fact that Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is going on and the Food & Wine Festival starts? It just makes it a great time to visit.
