Tips for Visiting Disney World in April (Disney World Tips – 313 of 365)

April in Disney World

If you’re looking to visit Disney World in April, here are some things to take note of:

  • The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival started last month, and is going on strong since it lasts until the end of May. If you love flowers, topiaries, and concerts, this can be a great time of year to attend.
  • If it’s not worth visiting Florida unless you can wear shorts, then April is a wonderful month to go. The highs are in the low 80’s, so while you can wear shorts and short sleeves, it’s not too hot out.
  • Less schools have spring break in April, so it’s usually a little less crowded than in March.
  • If Easter falls in April, then the parks will be even more crowded since many people come down during their Easter break.
  • Between Easter (if it occurs in April) and spring break, you’ll find that the parks are staying open later.
  • Avoid the weeks surrounding Easter as so many people will be there that some days parks might stop letting people in as they are too crowded.
  • If you are going to go during this time, make sure you have Fastpass+ reservations, get to the parks before they open, and have a plan of what rides you want to go on. You’ll still end up waiting in lines, but it won’t be as bad as if you don’t plan at all.
