Tips for Visiting Disney World in February (Disney World Tips – 311 of 365)

If you’re looking to visit Disney World in February, here are some things to take note of:
- In the beginning of February, there is a dance competition held at Disney World, so there are a few days that are a pretty crowded. The dates change every year, but try to avoid them if you can.
- Because of the long weekend due to President’s Day, there is often a lot more people at Disney World. Some schools even get off for the whole week.
- If you don’t like hot weather, this is a good time to come. It’s a little bit warmer than January, so there is more of a chance you can wear short sleeves, but you’ll still need a sweater or jacket for the mornings and evenings.
- Many rides go down for refurbishment during this time, so you’ll want to check to make sure your favorite rides are open.
- Because of the time of year, you’ll find fewer crowds (except on the holidays mentioned above.) So if you like a quieter park, this is a good time of year to come.
- If you’re a night owl, this might not be the best time of year for you. Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios often close around 8pm or 9pm in January since the crowds are so light. Disney’s Animal Kingdom of course closes even earlier.
