Top Reasons for Staying At the Campsites at Fort Wilderness (Disney World Tips – 281 of 365)

Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness

There are many different reasons to choose Campsites at Fort Wilderness during your Disney World Vacation. One of the best reasons of course, is price. It’s the least expensive way to stay on Disney property. Here are some other great reasons to choose the Campsites at Fort Wilderness:

  • The campsites are great for both tents and RV’s. If you have a large group (of up to 10 guests), this location is perfect.)
  • Every campsite has a hookup to water, cable TV, electric, a picnic table, and charcoal grill. Most also have a sewer hook-up.
  • Some campsites permit pets, making this the only place on property you can have your pet with you.
  • The Medow Swimmin’ Pool has a corkscrew waterslide, and there is a whirlpool spa. There is also a kiddie pool and water play area. There is also a quiet pool – the Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool, which also has a whirlpool spa.
  • If you enjoy camping and other outdoor activities, this place has it all – horseback riding, archery, canoeing, kayaks, fishing, water-skiing, bike rentals, and so much more.
  • There are multiple restaurants all at the resort & campground, including causal dining, quick-service, dinner shows, and even a lounge.
  • You still get access to the same great amenities as other hotels, such as the busses, Magical Express, high speed Internet, restaurants, playgrounds, an arcade, and more.
  • It’s closest to Magic Kingdom and Epcot, so it’ll take you less time to get there than other places on property.
  • Not only can you take busses to the other parks, but you can take a boat to the Magic Kingdom.
