Avoid Disney During Thanksgiving (Disney World Tips – 203 of 365)

Crowds

If you can, avoid visiting Disney World during the week of Thanksgiving.

Schools are off for Thanksgiving, Friday, and some even get Wednesday (or half of Wednesday) off.

Most offices also have off Thursday and Friday, with some people getting out early on Wednesday.

With all of these days off, a lot of people think it’s a great time to visit Disney World.

The weather in Florida is usually a lot nicer than wherever you live at the end of November, so who wouldn’t want to visit Disney for Thanksgiving?

Because of these reasons, the week of Thanksgiving can be crowded. Some people take an extra few days off of school or work to make it a full week of vacation.

So if you can, choose a different week to visit Disney World.

All of the parks will be crowded the week of Thanksgiving, and you will have to wait in long lines.

If you are set on visiting Disney during Thanksgiving, just make sure you plan ahead.

Have your dinner reservations planned, make sure you have Fastpass+ reservations, and know what you want to do each day.

You can still have a great trip in Disney World even if you do go during this time…but if you can, try to go during another time of the year.
