Avoid Disney During March and April (Disney World Tips – 202 of 365)

Magic Kingdom

If you can, avoid Disney World during March and April.

Why?

Spring Break.

Not only do you have regular schools taking a week off for the spring, but colleges have a week off as well!

That makes Disney World pretty crowded during these times.

Plus Easter falls during this time, and that will cause even more crowds.

In face, Easter is one of the times of the year that they will actually have to close some of the parks to new guests because they get filled to capacity!

If you’re thinking of traveling to Disney World during March or April, the first thing I would do is see if a lot of schools (both grade schools plus colleges) have off. If not, then it might not be too bad. But if a lot of schools or off, or if it’s one of the weeks surrounding Easter, you’re really better off planning your trip for another time.

If this is the only time that you can go, just be prepared.

Make sure that you know which rides and attractions are the most important to you, and go on those first.

Don’t expect to do everything. If you have a few “must-do” items on your list, then everything else you get to do is extra, and no one will be upset.

With the right expectations, you can still have a great trip.

But if you can choose when to visit…you should probably stay away during March and April while the kids have spring break!
