If you’re going on a ride that has 2 lines, always go to the left.

Most people are right handed, so they instinctively go right when choosing between 2 lines.

A great example of this is Space Mountain. When you get inside, you can choose the right of left side. If you notice the next time you’re there, the left line is always a bit shorter than the right one.

What if there are more than 2 lines to choose from? For example, when you’re waiting to get into a park and you have to get your bags checked by security?

In that case, go for somewhere in the middle. Usually people go towards the ends…but the lines in the middle end up with less people because from farther away you can’t tell what people are in what line.

You’ll notice as you get closer that usually the middle lines are shorter than those on the ends.

This is a great way to spend a little less time in line when you get to choose what line to stand in.
