Check the Height Requirements Before You go (Disney World Tips – 43 of 365)

Measure Height of Kids

In order to avoid meltdowns at the parks, if you have kids…make sure you know their height and the height requirements of the rides.

If they think they’re going to get on a ride that they’ve been looking forward to – and you’ve all been talking about, such as, Space Mountain, and you get to the front of the ride and find out that they’re too short…everyone is going to be upset. Especially the child who won’t be able to go on it after hearing so much about it.

So before you go, take a look at what rides your child/children are too short for, so that you’re prepared.

Here is once place you can enter in the height of your child, and see what rides they are too short to go on.

If you’d prefer, here is the Disney site where you can choose from different filters for rides, which include age, height, etc. To me it was a bit more complicated, so I liked the other link better.

Don’t forget. If your children are too short to go on the ride, it doesn’t mean you can’t go on either. You can do a ride swap. You go on the ride while someone else in your party watches the children, and then instead of having to wait in line a second time, when you get off the ride, the other person in the party can go on the ride while you watch the children.
