Which Character Meals You Should Choose (Disney World Tips – 42 of 365)
Dining with characters is a great way to get some one-on-one time with the different Disney World characters. In fact, you’ll often end up getting more time with them here than when you find them at the parks. As a bonus, you don’t have to stand in line, and you get to eat while you’re waiting!
There are a lot of character meals on Disney property. But did you know that they are different prices, and have different characters?
Based on what characters your child likes, what you want to spend, and where on property you’re going to be, your best character meal could be completely different, as they’re all such different experiences.
Now make sure you double check, as these change all the time…but here are some tips for where you should start looking when looking for a certain type of character meal…
If your child has a favorite character, make sure you’re choosing a character meal where that character will be.
- Princesses – 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella’s Royal Table, Askershus Princess Storybook Meals
- Classic Characters – Chef Mickey’s, Tusker House, Cape May Cafe, Hootin’ Tootin’ Hoedown
- Winnie the Pooh & Friends – Crystal Palace
- Little Einsteins – Hollywood & Vine
- Mary Poppins & Friends – 1900 Park Fare Breakfast
- Lilo & Stitch – ‘Ohana (Breakfast Only)
If you’re all about saving a few dollars, make sure you don’t choose a restaurant like Cinderella’s Royal Table, and go to another restaurant instead.
Here are some other restaurants that are on the lower end of the price range for a character meal:
- Cape May Cafe Breakfast, Crystal Palace Breakfast, Tusker House Breakfast,
- 1900 Park Fare Breakfast, Crystal Palace Lunch, ‘Ohana (Breakfast Only),
- Hollywood & Vine Breakfast, Akershus Breakfast, Hollywood & Vine Lunch,
- Garden Grill Dinner, Crystal Palace Dinner, Askershus Lunch
If you’re not going to have a park ticket, but still want to have character dining, then make sure you choose one of the restaurants at a hotel. Here are some options:
- 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey, Cape May Cafe (Breakfast Only)
- ‘Ohana (Breakfast Only), Hootin’ Tootin’ Hoedown
As you can see, there are a lot of character meals to choose from, and you should be able to find one that fits your family the best!
