The Best Time to Visit the Food & Wine Festival (Disney World Tips – 22 of 365)

Food and Wine Festival

The Food & Wine Festival is a lot of fun. It usually runs from the end of September to the middle of November at Epcot.

You have a lot of different foods and drinks to choose from, and they all taste great! There are over 30 different stands each with food and drinks from different areas of the world.

They also have a lot of special experiences you can attend, usually at an extra cost, like a wine tasting or listening to a chef talk about something, or cook something in front of you.

If that wasn’t enough, every night there is a free concert going on as well. It’s called the “Eat to the Beat” Concert Series, and for each night, the artist performing has 3 sets, so you can choose which time works best for you. Some artists that have performed include Starship, Boys 2 Men, Air Supply, Christopher Cross, The Pointer Sisters, and many many others. This year, new to the series is Tiffany, Everclear, Maxi Priest, and Chaka Kahn.

The one big negative?

The crowds!

During the Food & Wine festival, not only will you get the usual vacationer, but a lot of people who live in or near Florida will come so that they can enjoy the food, drinks, and entertainment.

So how do you avoid the crowds? Go to Epcot on the weekdays.

Weekends will have a lot more people who are just there for the day or weekend from all around Florida or other nearby areas.

During the week, while there will still be a lot of people, it will be a huge difference in the crowd level.

It’s a lot of fun to sample the different foods and drinks, as well as enjoy the concerts! Each set is only about a half of an hour, so you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your day.
