See the Fireworks without being in the Magic Kingdom (Disney World Tips – 20 of 365)

Fireworks

There are a few different reasons why you might want to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks somewhere other than the Magic Kingdom.

For one, you might not be in the park at that time of night. Maybe that’s when you want to eat dinner, or it’s starting to get late and you want to be on your way back to the hotel.

Another reason is because you don’t have park hoppers, and you spent the day at another park.

Yet another reason is you’re trying to cut costs, and didn’t go to a park that day.

Whatever the reason, you’ll be happy to know that you can see the fireworks from quite a few different locations, even if you’re not in the Magic Kingdom.

You may even like it a lot better since they’re less crowded!

If you want to eat a nice dinner while getting to see the fireworks (and hearing them too!) you can go to the California Grill at the Contemporary hotel. You can see the fireworks from quite a few areas at the Contemporary, so if you stay there, you might even get a room where you can look out your window and see the fireworks each night! If you don’t have a room there, you can go on one of the public balconies to watch them.

Speaking of hotels, at the Polynesian, if you go to the beach you’ll also be able to see and hear the fireworks. While I haven’t tried that yet, it sounds like a really romantic place to watch them.

If you’re at the Grand Floridian, you might want to try Narcoossee’s Grill for dinner. It’s expensive, but you’ll get great food and a great view of the fireworks, along with getting to hear them as well if you step outside. If you’re staying at the hotel, you can also watch them at the beach there too.

If you’re on the move, you can see the fireworks from the monorail while you’re going by (although you’ll only get to see parts of it – but hey, that’s better than nothing in my book!), or at the ferry docks at the Transportation and Ticket center.
