Bring a Poncho – (Disney World Tips – 11 of 365)
It’s Florida. It doesn’t matter the time of the year, you’re probably going to get rain during your vacation.
Most likely it will only rain for a short time, but you could easily get soaked in those few minutes when the rain comes pouring down.
What happens when it starts pouring? Many people run into one of the many stores and buy a poncho, where you’ll pay $10+ per poncho. I don’t know the prices offhand, but I was in shock the last time I saw them!
So what should you do? Go to your dollar store before you go on vacation. Pick up a poncho for each person in your party. They’re packed nicely and won’t take up too much space in your backpack or whatever else you bring to the parks each day.
Then, when it starts pouring (and it will), if you’re stuck outside, you’re set! Take out the poncho, and you won’t have to pay crazy prices to keep dry!
If you’re lucky, it will rain while you’re inside on a ride, and you’ll come out and have missed it completely. But you don’t want to take the chance!
When the rain stops a few minutes later, you can take your ponchos off and depending on how many you bought, throw them away or put them in a bag to dry off, it’ll be like the rain never happened.
