Chocolate Butter – Only at Hershey! (The Hershey Grill to be Exact)

Chocolate Butter at Hershey

Let me tell you about the first (and so far only) time I’ve ever seen chocolate butter.

This past April, I went to Hershey for a mini vacation. Because of the price, we weren’t staying at a Hershey Hotel, but still wanted to get to see a few of the hotels, and have a meal at one of them.

After looking at a bunch of menus, we decided on the Hershey Grill, at the Hershey Lodge Hotel.

NOTE: If you haven’t been to Hershey before, you’ll probably think that the Hershey Lodge is on the Hershey property in the same area as the park, gardens, Chocolate World, Hershey Hotel, etc. But it’s not. It was actually a lot closer to the hotel I stayed in, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Hershey on Hotel Avenue than the rest of the property.

Either way, I would say it was a 4-6 minute drive from the hotel, and under a 10 minute drive from the rest of the Hershey area you’ll probably be driving around.

Anyway, we sat down, placed our order, and a few minutes later the server brought out bread and butter. On the butter plate were 2 types of butter. Regular butter, and….chocolate butter.

Now, I have absolutely no idea what else you would use chocolate butter on, but it was SO good on the bread. I usually try not to eat much bread (if any) since I know the calories add up…but ended up having 3 pieces of bread just so I could have more chocolate butter.

If you end up in Hershey, and want to try a Hershey restaurant…the Hershey Grill was good (it was a really nice casual restaurant), and the chocolate butter was even better!

Enjoy your trip to Hershey,

P.S. If you’re looking to book your next vacation, here are a few of my favorite places to search for low prices. Try Expedia, Hotels.com, or Priceline.
