Voice of Travel

The first seminar we went to was the Pauline and Arthur Frommer seminar on some of the top travel bargains for the year ahead.  They talked about some places that many of us know about, like the Dominican Republic, but also mentioned some others.  Arthur was very big on the fact that China is such a great bargain, and that everyone should go.  Also mentioned was New Orleans, which is in better shape than most people realize.  There was also a great deal to Egypt that they mentioned, where for $1,500 you could get round trip airfare, your guided tour, and even included a short cruise on the Nile.

Of course, it was also mentioned that if you go off-season, you’ll get much better prices since most people like going on vacation where the weather is nice.  So now is the time to go to London, Paris, etc.  Also, it won’t be as crowded since most of the tourists wait until summer to go to these destinations.  So you get a great price, and fewer crowds.
