Here’s a really interesting way to use your vacation time. Is there something you wish you could be doing, instead of your current job? There is a website Vocation Vacations, where you can “test drive” a new career for a few days. You will be given a mentor, and you spend your trip one on one, learning about the career. You might be doing this because you are considering switching careers, but aren’t sure this is what you want to do. You could also just use it to learn about something you are very interested in, even though you don’t want to change careers. It’s a really interesting way to learn more about a different type of job. What are some of the types of vocation vacations you could take? Some of the current ones available are: actor, artist, baker, chocolatier, dog trainer, golf pro, horse trainer and rancher, hotel general manager, ice cream retailer, model, photographer, restaurant critic, spa owner, sports announcer, tour guide, tv producer, wine maker, yoga studio owner, and many, many more.
