IExplore.com has revealed its list of top travel destinations for adventure travelers.

Coming in at number 1 for the second year in a row was Egypt with all its magnificent ancient wonders. The temperature drops sharply for the number 2 spot as Antarctica shoots up the list after being number 19 in 2005.

Top destinations (with 2005 rank in parentheses):

2. Antarctica (19)
3. South Africa (6)
4. Peru (2)
5. China (4)

The destination with the largest decline was France of all places. After being in last year’s top 10, it was relegated to number 46 on the list this past year.
