Paris Hotel with an Awesome Location: Holiday Inn Paris Opera – Grands Blvds
At the end of August, we stayed at the Holiday in Paris Opera – Grands Blvds.
I can’t say enough great things about it.
Let’s start with the location.
It is in an incredible location.
You want to be near the metro? You literally can’t get any closer.
As you can see in the picture, if you take 2 steps outside of the front door of the hotel (ok, maybe it’s 4 steps), you’re at a metro stop. Talk about convenient!
The stop was on 2 great metro lines too. Most places we went to were either on one of those lines, or we just had to switch to a different metro one time.
There was only 1 trip where we had to switch 2 times to get to where we were going, and that was Sacre Couer. That was it. Everything else was very easy.
As far as walking, that was great too.
It was about a mile walk to the Louvre. We walked down to that area, to the Palais Garnier (the old opera house), to the department stores, to the park, and quite a few other places.
There were also a LOT of great food options within a 5 minute walking distance. There was a great Asian eatery (Meltin’ House) less than 5 minutes away, a Hard Rock Cafe about 2 minutes away, and at least 15 to 20 other restaurants. It was a great location to be in.
There was even a small grocery store (Franprix) a few minutes away that you could go to to pick up anything you needed.
Now let’s talk about the hotel itself.
It was a really nice hotel. The front desk was very helpful and was happy to answer any questions you had or give recommendations if you wanted.
They usually had water (with lemon or lime) out front so you could help yourself on your way in or out.
The room was a normal European room. It was somewhat small, which is to be expected, but it was very comfortable.
There was enough room to move around and to get ready. There was a safe in the room which was really helpful.
The shower was great, and also came with Dove shampoo!
The next time I return, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
If you’re looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a location where you can walk to a lot of places, have access to the metro, and have food nearby, I strongly suggest the Holiday Inn Paris Opera Grands Boulevards hotel!
