Why I Like CityPass for Visiting Must See Attractions
When I’m visiting a city for the first time, one of the first things I do is see if they have a CityPass available for it.
Why?
I like to know what the big “must see’s” are in a city, and while I usually have an idea of one or two of them, I usually learn about a few other attractions that I’d love to visit while I’m on the vacation.
Then I go through, and add up the prices of the attractions that interest me, and see if the savings would be worth it for me.
Most of the time, the answer is YES.
So far, I’ve used the CityPass twice. Once was in Toronto, and the other in Southern California.
One thing I love about the website is that they make it easy to see if it’s worth you buying.
They list out the prices of each included item, so that you can see how much you’d pay if you did it on your own. Since you might not want to visit EVERY attraction that’s included, it won’t always be the best thing to do. But if you plan on going to most or all of the attractions included, it can be a HUGE savings.
It also made it really easy when you didn’t have to go buy tickets at each attraction, or even stand in line at most places.
I also ended up seeing things I might not have seen if not for CityPass.
For example, while all of the attractions are huge and well known for Southern California (Disneyland, Seaworld, Universal Studios Hollywood), before I saw the CityPass for Toronto, I probably wouldn’t have known about the Royal Ontario Museum or Casa Loma.
Both of them were really great, and I still have great memories of those attractions and am glad I got to go.
Here are the cities you can get the CityPass for:
- New York City
- Houston
- Boston
- Atlanta
- Toronto
- Philadelphia
- Chicago
- Tampa Bay
- Southern California
- Seattle
- San Francisco
If you’re planning a trip to any of the above locations, I’d take a look at the CityPass. You’ll save a lot of money, and find some attractions you might not have known about!
Enjoy,
