How to Use FastPass+ (and What Rides go with What Tier)

Disney FastPass+

When there was regular “Fastpass”, the rules were easy. You’d take your ticket, stick it in the machine, and then get a Fastpass ticket to use on the attraction at a later time. Except for a few exceptions, you could have one at a time. Simple.

Now that’s gone, and it’s a bit more complicated. The good news is, no more running to a ride first thing in the morning just to get a Fastpass for it. You can now book your FastPass+ up to 60 days in advance!

You can select up to 3 FastPass+ rides a day. They must all be at the same park. Once those are done though, you can one by one get more FastPass+ admissions for any park, so that’s great.

Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom both just have 1 tier of rides. You can choose any 3 that you want for each day. Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot work a little bit differently though. For them, you get one Tier 1 ride, and two Tier 2 rides.

Again, once you’ve finished your 3, you can easily add another one once you’re in the park.

I know when I used FastPass+ for the first time, it was a bit confusing – only because I was used to the old way of doing things…but now that I’ve tried it, I like it.  Hopefully you’ll feel the same way.

But if you haven’t used it yet…you probably have a lot of questions about it.  The good news is that AllEars has put together a really good FAQ about FastPass+, and has answered any question you could think of.

So here’s an updated list of what rides are included in FastPass+, (and for Epcot and DHS, what the Tier 1 and Tier 2 rides are), along with answers to any questions you might have about FastPass+:
