I just saw this article, and had to share it. Cruise Critic lists the 10 Most Popular Cruise Ships. They say it’s based on Facebook likes, review ratings and Internet search popularity.

To make it easier for you though, here are the 10 ships they listed:

• Allure of the Seas
• Carnival Dream
• Carnival Magic
• Norwegian Epic
• Celebrity Silhouette
• Celebrity Eclipse
• Liberty of the Seas
• Ruby Princess
• Disney Dream

I thought this was a very interesting list. Almost all of the major cruise lines have at least one ship listed – except for Holland America. It also seems that most of these ships are new within the past year or so, were recently refurbished, or are the latest ship from that company.

Of course, that makes perfect sense since if it’s the newest ship, it has the “latest and greatest” on the ship. Plus, many people enjoy being able to cruise on a new ship.

Here are just a few of the innovations you’ll find on some of these ships: Central Park, Starbucks, Broadway shows, Zip-lines, the Blue Man Group, Fireworks, and more!

I also can’t tell you all of the restaurants that each of these ships has! All I know is if you eat at a different place each meal, you still might not get to visit each restaurant on a weeklong cruise!

I haven’t been on any of these ships yet, but I have to say that many of them sound like a lot of fun, and I wouldn’t mind going on them.

It is a shame that none of these ships are leaving out of NY/NJ at the present time. I love being able to go on a cruise without having to fly anywhere first. But for these ships, it looks like it will be worth the trip.
