Philadelphia Flower Show

Sunday, March 2nd 2008 is the first day of the Philadelphia Flower Show this year. It goes through March 9th, and is at the Philadelphia Convention Center. I have gone the past 4 years, and am really looking forward to going this year.

They don’t want anyone posting pictures from the show, so I can’t show you how beautiful everything is, but you should check it out. You will get to see many exhibits of all types of beautiful flowers. It’s all just breathtaking, and even if you’re not a big gardener, as long as you enjoy looking at pretty flowers, you’ll have a great time.

While that alone would be enough of a reason to go, that only takes up a little bit over half of the room. What’s in the other half you ask? Vendors. TONS of them. Want to buy flowers, bulbs, etc? No problem! They have plenty of vendors who sell anything you’re looking for. Each year I get a dozen roses. While I don’t remember offhand the exact price, I remember it’s under $7.00. I also enjoy buying other types of flowers, cacti, and more.

A few years ago I got a beautiful orchid. If you like looking at plants and flowers, or just want to buy some to take home, you’ll have a great time!
