Voice of Travel

I don’t know about you, but one of the first things I think about when it’s the beginning of a new year is….where will I travel this year? I absolutely love to travel, and when I’m not on vacation, I’m usually found trying to plan or research my next one. My husband will even tell you that I have been known to start talking about the next vacation while we are still ON the previous one. He might be right about that. I can’t help it. Just thinking about a vacation makes me happy!

Now that it’s the beginning of the year, it’s the perfect time to start planning. This way you have plenty of time to research, plan, and save money for that vacation. While I don’t usually plan all my vacations out at the beginning of the year, I do like to start thinking about when – or where – I would like to go.

I’ve found a lot of people don’t end up going on vacation because they didn’t plan for it. By the time they think about it, they don’t have enough days to take off of work, or have spent too much money and don’t want to spend any more. If you start deciding now though, you’ll still have the vacation days unused, and can start saving monthly for your trip.

So where do you want to go this year? Is it time to try a cruise? Or go to Europe? What about a nice all inclusive vacation in the Caribbean? You won’t have to do a thing but relax. You have lots of choices.

This is also a great time to think of vacations, because in many places (like here), it’s freezing cold…and there is nothing better than thinking about somewhere nice and warm where you could be having fun!

Tomorrow I’ll talk about some of the places I’m hoping to visit this year, although we haven’t planned anything yet, and who knows what will happen.
