Now that it’s really cold in many places, you might start thinking about going to a warm weather destination. A nice vacation on a warm island sounds like a great place to vacation this time of year. The problem is, a lot of us don’t want to spend thousands and thousands of dollars to get out of the cold. There are a few destinations that you can travel to where you can get out of the cold, and you don’t have to spend as much as you think. Here are just a few of them:

Florida – The weather is nice and warm in most parts of Florida, and depending on where you are coming from, the airfare isn’t too expensive. Also, since there are so many tourist cities you can go to, the prices are pretty competitive.

Dominican Republic – This is definitely a budget friendly island to travel to. A lot of people still have not thought about traveling here, but it is a great place. Most of the hotels are all-inclusive, so your one price usually includes airfare, a shuttle to your resort, all your food and drinks (including alcohol), as well as your room. It also usually includes non-motorized activities as well! You never have to leave your resort, and the one price includes everything you could want. Plus, the price is usually pretty low. I have seen 4 and 5 night trips, including everything listed above for under $500 per person.

Jamaica – This is another budget friendly island to travel to. Most of the hotels here are also all-inclusive, so for the one price you will get everything you need for your vacation. You can spend an entire week just laying on the beach, eating and drinking what you’d like, staying far away from the cold weather at home.

Cruise – This is another great option, as there are so many cruises to choose from! You can go to multiple islands in the Caribbean, have lots of free entertainment on the ship, as well as all the food you want! Plus, this way you can visit multiple destinations, only having to unpack once.

There are many other options as well; these are just a few of the lower priced options that can get you out of the cold right now, and vacationing somewhere warm!
