Travel Off Season – Save Money!
There are some places that you may really want to visit, but don’t because they are too expensive. You figure that one day you will go – but not this year.
Well, there is a way to go visit the destination you want, and not have to wait. If you go to your destination “off season”, it is usually a LOT less expensive. The airfare and hotel, which are the biggest price of the trip will usually be what you will see the biggest difference in. You will also find that things are not as crowded, and many times you can enjoy the destination even more. Yes, it may be a bit cooler (or warmer) then you would have wanted, but you will still get to enjoy your destination.
For example, going to London can be very expensive in the spring/summer/fall, when the weather is nice. But if you go in the winter, or even in the very early spring, while it is still cold or cool in London, you can pay about half of the price! Of course you will be wearing a jacket, but that shouldn’t ruin your fun! This can be a great way to
see many destinations that you want to see.
If you figure out when the city you want to visit has it’s “slow season”, you can really save…and many times the weather is still perfect, it’s just not when most people have off, so it is less expensive.
Another example is Las Vegas. If you want to go in September, October, or even December, usually the hotel prices are a lot lower than in early to mid spring. It’s a little cooler sure, but you can still walk down the strip in a light jacket most of the time. A little research to find out when the “off season” is, can really save you money!
