Frommer’s released their top destinations for 2007 at the end of last year. There are some interesting places on the list, many of which we never would have thought of as exciting places to visit. We want to find out just how worthy of a visit they are.

• Minneapolis, Minnesota
• Panama
• Asheville, North Carolina
• Ethiopia
• Portland, Oregon
• Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
• Okanagan Valley, British Columbia
• Glen Canyon, Utah
• Zurich, Switzerland
• Portland, Maine

We are actually planning to travel to one of the destinations, Asheville, North Carolina this spring to do a little treasure hunting and hiking in the area. That gives the list some credibility we think. Hopefully we don’t prove them wrong.

In future posts we’ll cover some of the fun and exciting things to see and do in this strange list and see if they measure up to the hype.
