Wonder how sometimes people find out about great prices?  Instead of doing all the work of going to multiple websites just to find the lowest prices, if there is a specific location or hotel or chain etc. that you like, sign up for their mailing list!  When they are having a sale, or are trying to get more customers to book for a certain time, they will often send out great deals to their mailing list.  Sometimes they even do this before publicly announcing the deals.  For example…I belong to a bunch of mailing lists for hotels in Las Vegas.  I can’t tell you how many emails I’ve gotten in the past few weeks for really low prices for rooms.  Since December/January/February are usually pretty slow in Vegas, they really want to get their customers to come visit!  So I keep getting emails with really low prices, and sometimes even free rooms or free food, just to try to get me to go out there.  If you really like a certain place (even if it’s a specific company or chain), it can’t hurt to get their emails!
